Taxis do have their uses.

A lone raider used taxi transport as a getaway car in a bookies raid yesterday. He arrived in a red old-style Toyota or Nissan taxi, which parked on Pleasant Street.

After the robbery he went back to the waiting taxi which drove along Pleasant Street and turned right onto Heythesbury Street towards Kevin Street. It is believed that the taxi driver was unaware of what had happened.

It makes sense, a taxi would be more discrete than a normal getaway car and they can also avail of parking and the use of the bus lanes.

When your man got back into the car after robbin the place, and started shoutin "drive man for F*CK SAKE" did the taxi man not get a bit suspicious??

Sure Taxi signs are stolen to be used on getaway cars as well as it looks less suspicious, this guy just used an actual one instead!:D
