Presented by Blackthorn Theatre Company ( the people who brought you the hugely successful “Prisoners” in 2008) runs from the 5-7th of February in the CORK ARTS THEATRE (Cat Club)
This production is an updated version of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Hamlet. Thier take on Hamlet updates the setting to a modern one without changing the dialogue. In this production they transform the bard’s characters into modern-day Cork social stereotypes (Hamlet as an emo, Rozencrantz and Guildenstern as snobby private - schoolers and Claudius as an underhanded politician etc)
