    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me who I should go to in order to find out my legal rights regarding what my motor insurance company should and shouldn't do in the event of a crash?

    Thanks,

    Paul

I would have thought the obvious place would be your solicitor?

Thanks for that, but I'm looking for more of an ombudsman type.

For very general information you could try www.itsyourmoney.ie (Financial Regulator's site), or maybe www.iif.ie (Insurance Federation's site) and for making a complaint www.financialombudsman.ie (Financial Services Ombudsman).

But, if this dispute with the insurance company is in any way serious or may have repurcussions for you I would recommend you take proper legal advice from a solicitor.
