Does anyone know if 17" Alloys can be fitted onto Old civic 1995 Jap Import? PCD is matching but would there be enough space to fit considering it as 17" alloys?

first off, is it the EG shape or the EK shape?
the EK shape came out in late 1995.

17" will fit the EK shape with no problems, i had 17" on my old EK for a few years without issues.

on the older 1992-1995 EG shape, the 17" will fit but may bottom out over bumps and bad roads. arches can be rolled to suit but i have never done this so not too sure of the amount of work required to carry it out properly.

I think its EG shape. I just googled it. How can I confirm that alloys will fit onto my civic?

Not too familiar with EGs Is the stud pattern 4 stud on them? 17s will fit but I wouldnt reccomend it. Your seriously going to compromise ride comfort, you'll feel every bump in the road and there is a big risk of buckling your wheel on any sort of pot hole as the tyre profile will be so low. IMO 15s-16s suit EGs alot better and makes for a better ride.

    Just my 2c. :)

PCD of an EG civic is 4x100.
they will fit but will create problems relating to ride comfort, wheel rubbing archs etc etc

I have 17's on my eg, doesn't make for a great ride imo, 16's would be so much better and look nicer...

Just confirmed tyres are 17R/40/205 on 17" alloys. Incase if it doesn't fit onto Civic what are the options?

Do I need to look at modifying wheel arches to prevent contact, particularly when turning the steering? Either rolling or cutting the inner lip of the wheelarch away to give more clearance advisable? Does it affect insurance anyway. I mean do i need to inform insurance company about modification?

Does it fit fine? Do you have to do anything with wheelarches? what tyres are on your 17" alloys? Thanks.

Well if its a EK i have alloys that came off one, Racing Hart CR's in 17" for sale :D

How many nuts are holding the wheels on? 4 or 5?

If its 4 look for wheels 4 stud with a PCD of 4x100

If its 5 look for wheels 5 stud with a PCD of 5c114.3 iirc

its an EG civic saloon. got the pics by email.
    Deffo 4x100 PCD

the 5x114.3 PCD is for the 98 spec ITR, EK CTR, EP CTR, S2000 and i think the newer shape accord.

judging the email the OP sent to me, he already has the alloys, he is just waiting to fit them, but put up some pics as you may intice somebody else to buy your old wheels.

Went straight on afaik, only rubs a little on full lock, still wouldn't recommend them though

Just fitted 17" alloys onto my civic. They look good and doesn't touch arches anywhere. But drive is bit bumpy and I can hear humming sound when car is in 30-40kmph speed. is it normal? I will post few pics when I get chance.

Are they Balanced & Alligned? Torquerd correctly? suspension might not like the 17's tbh is it just a 1.4?
