Has*bean new website

    Just FYI:)

If anyone didn't get the Jan newsletter with the 5% off code (use before 31st Jan) pm me.

The new website is up. The coffee prices have gone up marginally and the postage costs have gone down, about £1 for the amount I would be ordering.

I usually order 6 x 250g bags and use one a week and traditionally ordered from them when I was just about to open my last bag and would have my new beans within a week :)

I did that this time and its coming up to two weeks now so the cheaper postage seems to be the problem as Steve said it was sent surface mail, which is slower. Anyway, it will arrive (hopefully today as have about 2 shots worth of coffee beans left).

The point of this post is............order a little earlier than you would have done previously, just to make sure you don't run out :)

Thanks for the reminder, I'm nearly out. I sent you a PM about that code.... If its a general code (like JANOFFER), I'm sure its safe to publish publically?

Yeah, a general code "newwebsite" I can remove it if anyone is unhappy about it being here:)

I normally get deliveries from Hasbean in 2/3 days from postage. Of late it's been UPS delivering too (two weeks ago was the last order).

I ordered late last thursday and had the package on monday, UPS. Very pleased with the service.

Were ye ordering big amounts? I ordered 6x250g bags which makes (brain works furiously) 1500g, so under 2kg. Postage was £8.65 or something similiar. Steve def said it went Royal Mail packet post when I emailed him.

I only have enough left for one shot, tomorrow mornings "boost" :(

I ordered a glass chemex & filters. It was UPS at £15. I am guessing, like most places, they only trust insured couriers with fragile items.

He was very quick to respond, I imagine you could pay more and get the quicker service if you want. I did not pay via the website checkout since it was not in stock, so I do not know if options are available.

It defaults to the postage I used. My order would only be peanuts in comparison to what some would order from the website. 6 bags is not exactly high end user :) But the normal postage got it to me in under a week before and it didn't this time. Ah, its all academic anyway, it will arrive when it arrives :) I only mentioned this to let people know to order earlier in case - not to go complaining :)

I have a preground bag of espresso from a well known coffee chain that will tide me over............:o

Just about to send my first order to hasbean this year. The new layout is fairly user friendly, I'd had a browse before now but hadn't ordered anything.

The shipping seems to have gone up, the only option for me now is UPS @ £16. It used to be scaled based on weight did it not?

Also, have the price of the roasted beans gone up?

I'm ordering some Bolivia Machacamarca, El Salvador La Ilusion Cup of Excellence and some Cafe Harlequin Espresso Blend. If anyone has any recommendations for espresso let them be known :)

I've put in a couple of orders on the new site, had to recreate my account
as they didn't migrate the accounts. I noticed there are new shipping
options and the cheapest is much slower than the old method so
be careful if ordering roasted beans as it can take around 7 days.

I hadn't noticed the increase in prices, the weak GBP to Euro means
    I'm happy enough.

I'm drinking these two at the moment
    Brazil Fazenda Cachoeira
    Costa Rica Cafetalera Herbazú

If you haven't tried the Costa Rican it's well worth a punt.

My account seems to have been migrated alright. I'll add that costa rican so, thanks. I'm ordering Black Gold too, haven't seen it yet.

Edit/ I've had that Costa Rican before, it's not too shabby alright. I'll add a bag inanyways.

Is it as chocolatey as the tasting notes claim? Wish I'd got some now in my order. Oh well, there's always next time :D

Ah yeah, really lovely coffee. It's not my first time on it and it won't be my last.
