hey all, i'm after making a career change as of late... and im moving to vegas in the summer i believe... want to go where there is plenty of live games and a lot of gambling fun :D.
will only be for a few months but i will be doing it

i need people to help me out here :), i need to find accomodation, i havent been over there yet so im in need of assistance of websites with places or just good areas to get somewhere

id love to have a house over there, sharing with people or something would be ok, im only early 20's so anything will do for me really. apartment or sharing house would be perfect, came on here cause expected many of ye to have been there before :D
just hoping some of ye actually left the casino's!!

p.s. im looking for some cheap places now :). not a hotel room for 80 a night, not that rich

Have you heard of the Boulder Dam hotel in Boulder City. Supposedly a nice spot and only 20 kms from Vegas.;)

Low limit (ie 1-2) cash games are soft as you like in the big casinos fwiw...

good luck to you man. would be a great adventure. was chatting to a lad from boston last time i was in the mgm who lived in the hotel, and spent his day on the 1/2 tables in the casino, playing tournies elsewhere at night.

when are you going, what stakes will you be playing . know a couple of nice fishing spots to play 1/2 or 2/5, ie treasure island, o sheas, during the world series a guy could clean up in the rio playing low limits cash and satellites.

My advice would be move to LA. I saw the commerce before vegas and its hard not to be left down by vegas poker rooms after it.

If i was you id spend the summer in santa barbara theres a bus that travels daily to the local indian casino which is full of fish. You could live the j1 lifestyle while making money at poker.

Dont think id like to be stuck in vegas full time !
