Call forwarding latency

I'm looking to get an 01 number that I can forward to another number. I can do this with Skypein, but I find that there is a delay between the phone ringing at the callers end and the phone ringing at the receiving end. This means that there is always the possibility that the caller may have hung up within a ring or two at the receiving end. Anyone know if there are there fewer latency issues with other VOIP providers or is there another way around this?

I use Blueface for this and have never had a problem...
