high heart rate, tunnel vision, immunity to pain

    i notice these syptoms

i get home and all my hits hurt like **** but tbh i dont notice half of them at the time.

sometimes i have been hit and it takes 5 - 10 secs for the nerve endings to kick in

Indeed. Alzir, less of the crudeness please. It may be the internet but we like to keep a nice atmosphere around here.

I've a heightened sense of heairng that does me wonders in airsoft, hear the slightest movement, always had it though

I get a good adrenaline rush the odd time, but still take my hits

I do get aggressive and competitive, id say its gas seeing me in as richie says " my angry high pitched tone"

G3-Nut you couldn't fight your way out of a wet cardboard box. :p

In all seriousness though, OP what your feeling is perfectly normal, it's the natural hunter in you coming to the surface, from the time when you had to find, stalk & kill your own food. :)

Yeah i do Tae kwon do and i gotta say during a fight and during an airsoft firefight have gotta be 2 of the most "IFeelAlive" moments ive gotten.

apart from rollercoasters nothing beats them...

Mate, just a quick one but...

I dont have a clue who you are on the field but if you are a big bloke and you are having the symptoms of adrenaline dump (which the other kung-fu heads have mentioned) without moving around much or doing some other sport which trains the autonomic response wich floods the system with adrenaline then you might want to get a check up by your doctor to be on the safe side.

Once you get out of your twenties and are in any way over weight your risk of both heart attack and stroke go up significantly.

This is actually something a lot of us should do more regularly. The vast majority of airsofters spend their weeks in stuff offices doing a lot of tiresome thinking but not much in the way of physical excercise. Then we go out and run around a field like we're athletes or battle-hardened veteran warriors. Its a minor miracle that no one has had a problem yet (which is mostly down to being able to go at your own pace for most of the time) but it's perhaps something we should all be keeping a close eye on ...

... those of us it applies to anyway ;)

When i read this, I instantly thought of a big black fog on the airsoft field.

Fog of War, to me, instantly means the part of a RealTimeStrategy game map that is covered out in black till you explore it, lols, im nerdy

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 562 ✭✭✭Busta Hyman
