buying with 3v

    It occurred to me that by choosing carefully what one buys one could reduce the amount left to 3v i.e the money can't be redeemed or cost €2.50 to redeem to a few cents instead of a few euro.

    For instance with books that are 5 euro cheaper online than in easons the few cents to 3v would be more than outweighwed by the saving.

    Has anyone other ideas?

    well what i usually do is buy what i want with the 3v card then spend what ever few euro i have left on itunes ! :)

    But you can't transfer money from 3V into a Paypal account. All you could do is send it to another account, which you would have to pay fees on.

    I use tha last few remainung Euros for iTunes. Either songs or iPod Touch apps.

    Guys I just got set up with 3V the card is on its way out to me, i set up a paypal account too.

    my Q is if I go into a shop and a buy €50 3v voucher can i put that straight into my paypall account?

    Unfortunately, no. A credit card, or 3V voucher, can only be used to fund a payment to another Paypal user (or your own 2nd account if you like).

    damn i thaught thats what it was for, feck it anyway - just when i thaught i had my head around it...:o

    i have online banking if i call my bank can i get them to add my paypal account onto my transfer list? then i could easily send over money to it?

    You can transfer money to Paypal through the bank, but it's exactly a simple process. There has already been one thread about money going missing, the bank claiming Paypal have it, and Paypal playing dumb, leaving the user without their cash.

    Not sure exactly how this process works, there are a few posts here about it though.

    bloody hell so i guess nothing is that simple..il transfer a very small amount to make sure it works first.
