it's a piece of cake. you can buy a wiring kit from the likes of Halfords. this is basically what you get:

Audio leads to run from pre-outs on the back of your stereo
Fused power lead to run from the battery to the amp
Remote power lead to run from the stereo to the amp
Earth wire to run from sub to the car body.
Audio leads to run from the sub to the amp

You could look into getting an amplified subwoofer, this cuts out a lot of the installation work, and they usually come with the wiring kit and very clear instructions, they also take the guesswork out of matching the amp and sub.

yeah its a piece of cake, as colm said get a woofer with a pre-installed amp its just so much easier, then all you need to do is wire it for power and sound then earth it, should be fairly easy to run the wires under your carpet to the boot

would stay clear of the sub with built in amp solution if I were to advise.

installing an amp with seperate sub is easy!! if you need step by step help let me know...

I'll give you all information and steps you need...

    Easily done!! just don't panic!

just a heads up lad my mate got his fusion sub from halfords about a month ago...just last week stopped working for him and he cant find receipt.

If you want the proper job go for a proper system and not a cheap heap package that halfords offers, do it right the first time round and you'll be happy for a long time!
As Audio Addict suggested, yes it would be better to have seperate amps and not the built in type!

Alot of our customers actually do come in complaining about Fusion kits failing, subs blowing or amps dying.

We have Bull Audio, same price as Fusion alot better quality and same price if not cheaper.

PM us, give us your budget, we'll sort you out.

Ok, you can use a voltage dropper to bring it down to 12+ volts.

Or, how are the batteries connected up? Is it in series?
