    Anyone hear his comments on his oscar, He thanks the people of belfast and steve Mcqueen.:confused:

    Not a word on Killarney, or the people of Ireland his home since he was 2 yrs of age since moving from Heidelberg.

    He isn't nominated for any Oscar.

    Perhaps you are talking about the IFTA nomination?

    I haven't seen what comment you are on about but I don't think the people of Killarney are going to be too bothered about not being mentioned. The reason he mentioned Belfast was probably because that's where Hunger was set and also the fact that the film got a pretty good reaction when it had it's premiere there. Not much of a snub to be fair.

    Priceless. While I enjoyed Eden Lake quite a bit I don't think the Oscar recognises genre films when casting their votes. Have yet to watch Hunger but Fassbender has impressed me a lot in other films and can would like to see him win.
