    Hi all,

Will American N64 games cartridges work on a Irish/UK N64?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey, yes/no

Out of the box no but you can get cartridges like passport for running imports! though you would need a certain game at the back to make it run!

eg. 1080 snowboarding to make an american smash bros to wrk

Those pass through carts have problems though. A lot of games just won't work on them and they also give really poor visual quality that can be as bad as a black and white flickering image.

your best bet is Get a Hong kong N64, cut the tabs off at the cartridge slot and it can play american/Japanese games off the bat. thats what i did back in the n64 days:rolleyes::rolleyes::P

Yeah, if you have a whole bunch of NTSC N64 titles, just buy a dirt cheap N64 from eBay, quicker overall.
Just make sure your TV isn't from the stone age and can display an NTSC signal.
