Ipod problem!

    Ok, my ipod was fine fo the 10months since I've bought it then last week after I charged it the sound stopped working.
    When the volume is over half way it's kind of static but I can hear the song really low under the static. If I turn the volume higher it's complete static and any lower I can't hear anything.
    It's not the ear phones because I've tried two different sets and a docking station and with an itrip over the radio and the problem is still the same.
    Is there anything I can do or do I just have to send it back to the manufacturer?
    Any advice is greatly appreciated :D

    Try different headfones first

    OP has said they already tried numerous earphones....

    Try restoring it to factory settings in iTunes and see if that does anything, if it's still the same send it back to Apple

    Hi,

    got the same problem with my ipod classic 5th generation afew weeks ago-I tried everything, different headphones, Ipod dock,reset... etc...nothing worked-

    So as I Bought it in March last year is still under warranty-I just opened yesterday a request to send it back to apple on the apple website-:(

    Hopefully they will fix it...
