Elder Roche Looking For Producer

    Hi I'm Elder Roche,

I'm looking forward to working with a producer and musicians for my new album. All the songs are written, but if new ones pop up along the way, well then it's already a successful project.

My influences range from early David Bowie. Fleetwood Mac, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, to Bonnie Prince Billy, Low, Beirut and Iron and Wine.

I like to think outside the box, but I love sparsity. From the sounds of a creaking piano, to well placed samples.

Some of my earlier recordings can be found on:

    www.myspace.com/elderroche

I hope you enjoy, and I hope to chat with you soon,

    Thanks,

    Elder Roche!

well unless you are planning on shifting towards ambient electronic/space music then I can't be of any constructive use but am listening to your music in the background and enjoying it a lot.

So, best of luck with the new album and if you're ever playing down in Waterford I'll drop by to say hi and bring a few bods to enjoy the music.

    Mick

That's really very nice. I've heard this before. I've a fair bit of experience in this kind of vibe and I'd be very interested.

    Regards,
    D.

I much appreciate your support. I'll see you in Waterford at some stage so. If you have any tunes, etc, that you want me to work with let me know. I would be interested in a new project.

Do you know what the good venues are in Waterford?

Sadly, Waterford is a pretty grim place to come for live music as Waterford has a pretty well earned reputation for not supporting live music very well. Now, if you were doing a disco you'd have a choice of packed venues to choose from.

The Candlelight Sessions in Grimes Bar, Waterford is a small venue that offers some good live music for local and visiting artists where much of the audience would be fellow musicians, which makes for a nice respectful audience. You'd get them by calling: 051 875759 which I think is still a valid tel num.

Feel free to pm me if you are ever playing down here and I'll lash up a few posters around town for you and try to drum up a bit of a buzz.

    Mick,

p.s. you don't want to wreck your head trying to work with anything I'd write unless you feel like adding even more ambient synths to 20min long ambient synth tracks :P

Much appreciated. I'm glad you like the tunes. Now the tricky part is to get the 2nd one recorded, which will be on the tightest of shoestrings.

    Regards,

    Elder Roche

Have you worked with him before? I've been on to him already. He seems like a decent sort.

Knowing SRat since we both had a full head of hair I can say he's a great guy - worked with Dylan (bob) Adams (bryan) and Aslan (yes, them) over the years.

I should also point out he's winning the hair-loss competition.
