Schedule app for iPhone and Mac?

I'm looking at some apps for organising things, trying out Things and OmniFocus.

Both are nice, but they don't have a scheduling feature, where you can list what you need to do *today*, and on particular dates.

    Is that a thing?

    Hi Luckat

You can always use your calendar and put reminders or alarms in there, this will then sync with your calendar on your mac, that's what I use anyway and even my wife (totally pc centric) put in reminders for me on my calendar.

Took a look at iCal, but it's very limited (unless I'm using it wrong).

For instance, for today I have:

    a) Multi-item shopping list for Lidl
    Apples
    Oranges
    Fish
    Leeks
    Dog and cat food
    (etc)
    and for Tesco
Lá Breá pecan and raisin bread
    (etc)
    b) Phone to seek commission for a job
    c) Finish brief piece of work
    d) Research longer piece of work
    e) Phone roofer

As far as I can see, this kind of thing is undoable (is that a thing?) because you can only put in 'events', about one per half-hour. Am I wrong?

Wrong I'm afraid, you can add notes in the calendar that'll suit your purpose. So make one or two calendar dates for a particular day (one at 9am, one at 1pm) add your to-do list in the notes section of it, then alarm them to notify you at intervals up to 24 hours.

Nialler, I've searched the iCal help for Notes, and the Help referred to a 'notes field', but I can't find this field, outstanding though it may be. Where is it?
