    Hi Everyone.

I was wondering if anyone could help.

I bought a HP Tx2000 laptop last week from ebay. I got it from a seller with an excellent track record. The laptop also doubles as a tablet pc so its a nice piece of kit. Anyway since i started it its been giving me nothing but grief i have had various problem over the last week.
    • Folders dissapearing
    • Programs freezing
    • Keyboard stoped working
    • Automatic updates freeze during instalation
I was wondering if the laptop could be faulty i have wiped it and then re-installed the OS but again similar problems occur.
Also its running Vista x64 maybe its this operating system i was thinking of changing to just normal Vista.

Has anyone else had an experience like this or could offer some advice. Any help would be much appreciated

Maybe download an ubuntu live CD and see if problems exist on that.

I need to keep some version of Vista on the laptop to run its touch screen capabilities

The live CD will boot from the CD and not make any changes to the hard drive. It'll let you know if all hard ware is ok.

I'll give it a go but i have been reading up on a Vistax64 forum and the OS seems to be very buggy when it comes to automatic updates so i think my problem could be here, ill let you know how i get on
