Drag and Drop on Desktop

Hi, Up until recently, when I drag a document (on the desktop) and drop it into a folder on the desktop, the document would disappear off the desktop and just be in the folder - that was fine. But now when I drag and drop it, it does appear in the folder but the document also stays on the desktop. How can I get it back to…

Hi,

Up until recently, when I drag a document (on the desktop) and drop it into a folder on the desktop, the document would disappear off the desktop and just be in the folder - that was fine.

But now when I drag and drop it, it does appear in the folder but the document also stays on the desktop.

How can I get it back to the way it was.

If the folder your dragging it to is on a different drive from the OS then it will just copy it rather than moving it. I dont know if this is what is happening in your case, but it might be.
