    Hi,

I was at the dentist today. I had 2 fillings done on my back molars. The type of filling the dentist used was amalgam. I was asked if I have PRSI, which I have as I have been working in the same job for the past 2 years almost. I was charged €100. Is it just me, or is this price quite expensive?

Also, while working, i did not earn enough to pay alot (if any) prsi. However, my employer has paid it. Can i still claim this on my prsi?

    cheers

    damo.

Thats actually a very good price for two fillings, only 50 euro per filling! As for your PRSI you need to contact the revenue service and find out if you are elegable there are many complicated rules which can be confusing. Even at that they only make a contribution to you dental work and do not pay in full for most treatments.
