Hey, I'm a student in carlow, not sure if this is the right forum for the query or the work and jobs one but none-the-less. I work in a pub and want to check out my wages by you. I'm a part timer as I am a student and I'm on 8.65/hour. So if I work a sunday for 8 hours up to twelve, a regular day (after 12 into a bank holiday) from 4pm to 4am, and then the same bank holiday from 4pm to 12 (8 hours). How much am I entitled to? Thanks!

That would depend on several things:

    1. Do you get over time for bank holidays?
    2. Have you used up your tax free credits?

I have tax credits set up to fully cover my pay to a value higher than what my pay would be. I don't get overtime but should I?
I have been working there part time for two year now, being 18 if that makes a difference.

I can calculate my own wages, more wondering what I'm entitled to for overtime and bank holidays, sundays etc.

That link was great raffles, thank you.
Still it's a little confusing so if I have not worked before these three days in say 5 weeks. I am only entitled to the basic minimum wage for the sunday, minimum wage for a longer 12 hour shift on a week day, and minimum wage on the bank holiday? :-|
