The Gospel for Second Hand Car Prices

Sorry if already a thread or a sticky but could not find one.

Trying to find the most accurate price list for second hand cars, there are the usual vrt website, cbg.ie average prices etc, however when coming to sell my car (and this is not an ad for my car) have it advertised as cheaped for the year, has full service history, below avg milage and still not one call.

Know value is only what market pays and the market is crap at the moment but interested to hear what people use as an accurate guide sourcing the value of their car before selling?

I'd say making it the cheapest car of its kind on Carzone is the easiest way. If you're still getting no calls, you may need to look at how your ad is worded, what the photos look like etc.

There's no published used-car values guide that worth anything at the moment.

Just have a look around as to what they're priced at..
then price 10% cheaper and expect 20%less than that.
    more or less.

    +1

A very cheap asking price could always attract attention as others said

Sold a car a few months back - I just kept dropping the price (by far the cheapest on car zone) until I got some calls. Eventually sold it via www.adverts.ie (free ad too!)
