Do a YouTube search on the following and see if you like any of these:

    Joe Bonamassa
Johnny Winter (my fave albums of his are "Still Alive And Well" and "Johnny Winter And"
    Gary Moore
    Walter Trout
    Aynsley Lister
    Derek Trucks
    Doyle Bramhall II (Welcome)
    Albert King
    Freddie King
Peter Green (John Mayall's "Hard Road" or early Fleetwood Mac
Jeff Beck (check out the "Truth" album)
ZZ Top (Tres Hombres is a fab place to start)
    Albert Collins

Agree with pretty much all the above, Id also add Warren Haynes (Govt Mule), Derek Trucks (Derek Trucks band), John Mayer (the Trio album, not his solo stuff) as "new" blues players.

For old blues, particularly acoustic, try Son House, Big Bill Broonzy, Furry Lewis and Mississippi John Hurt.

All listed so far are good choices. I'd like to add :

Roomfull of Blues, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Taj Mahall, Buddy Guy, Ten Years After, Chicken Shack, and early Allman Brothers with Duane Allman on guitar.

Susan Tedeschi, her DVD (she's married to Derek Trucks but has her own band). Robert Cray. Buddy Guy/Junior Wells. Larry Johnson. Keb' Mo'.

Mississippi Fred McDowell, Elmore James, David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Gatemouth Brown. Lightning Hopkins. Roosevelt Sykes. Jack Owens & Bud Spires. Johnny Shines with Big Walter Horton. Little Walter Jacobs. Ma Rainey. Big Walter Horton album "Bocce Boogie."

Carey Bell duet album with Big Walter Horton. Carey Bell with son Lurrie Bell "Live at Rosa's". Sam Myers' solo album "Coming from the Old School."
Charlie Musselwhite. Professor Longhair (New Orleans piano).

Try the Fat Possum Records (Oxford, Mississippi) lineup for something different - recommend:
R.L. Burnside, Asie Payton, Johnny Farmer, Junior Kimbrough, Cedell Davis if you're brave enough, their video DVD "You See Me Laughing."
