I have to change 2 front shocks on my 03 150 tdi bora and was going to buy adjustable hot-tuning coilovers from e bay for 180 e instead. It says they are for a mk 4 golf. Are the spring and shock arrangements the same in golf's and bora's.
Do ye think the springs and shocks would be good quality? Ebay feedback is good and one person bought 2 sets for 2 seperate golfs so can't be too bad and for the money.
Does anyone know if the back of the car can actually be adjusted? coz the spring stands alone and is not part of the shock.

First off its only my opinion but any coilover costing 180 euro is not worth buying.

The golf and bora would be identical, but the springs/coilovers will be different depending on the engine in the car i.e springs for tdi's would be stronger to hold the heavier car so if you put 1.4 springs into your car it would most likely collapse.

Also coilovers/springs for the 4wd cars would be different,so anyone set of springs or coilovers can not be suitable for all mk4 based cars.

Whether or not its rear adjustable will depend on the quality/brand of coilovers.

I would recommend saving a few quid and buying a decent set of coilovers,i have koni coilovers in my bora and i can't fault them.

    To answer the thread title.

A Bora is a golf with a boot.

A Bora is a golf with a boot and added depreciation.
