I was in golf creche in dundrum and it was a cracking store had alot of gear and not knowing to much info on irons etc i picked up a few and thought WOW they feel lovely ( mizuno mx200's)???? and a set of taylor mades. lovely and light. i presume from what they told me the mizunos are one of the best but i nearly had to pick myself of the floor when he said the price €799!!!!!!! they did feel the dogs but holy lord!! i shop alot online and i can get them for under 500 no problem from well established golf stores in england. does anyone else think that price is crazy? are they worth the money?

credit to that store tho they seem to have an amazing set-up for lessons and im gonna give it a go myself to help with my awlful slicing from my driver which i cant for god seem to fix:(

Don't bother. Talked to the pro there about a year ago and was more than underwhelmed. I didn't have a lesson but chatted to him in the back practice area. He sprouted on about being able to cure a slice in one lesson but this seemed to involve bulls***ing the client. Instead of being straight up and saying 'look, I can give you a few tips to counter the slice like closing the clubface etc' ... he insults your intelligence by asking you to close the clubface (almost to a ridiculous degree) and then telling you that it is actually square. I swear, I looked at him as if he had lost his marbles but he was adamant. That kind of garbage does my face in. You can manage a slice (close the face for example) or you can cure it (stronger grip, in to out path etc) but you need someone to teach you who at least has the manners to assume your IQ is adequate to do either.

I agree about the pro in that shop, he's very enthusiastic, but a mate had a lesson with him before and he said he spent a lot of time hitting balls himself, showing my mate how he could play left handed too etc etc, spoke to him myself a couple of times and he talks a lot about new teaching methods, dunno what they are but I decided not to take any chances either, the shop is very expensive and they are reluctant to reduce price in order to make a sale.
