Primera airbag - disabling

    Anyone any information on this.
My wife currently has a rear facing car seat in the passenger side of an '01 Primera.
A slightly dubious bloke told me he had disabled the airbag, but I'd like to be sure before risking the kids life.

Is it a major job to disable this ?

It is a major job unless you have the correct equipment, and you'd want to check with your insurance company. is the airbag warning light on?

Some cars (my gfs vw golf has this), have a switch in the glovebox that is operated by a the car key, for the purposes of disabling the passenger airbag. Some cars have this switch on the drivers door. Check your vehicle manual for info on this...

01 Primera is the old model, I'm 99% certain it hasn't a disable switch.
