I'm currently applying for the Adcademy with Publicis in London. The actual application form is pretty ok, except I'm stumped on the "If you could be any character in a film, who would you be and why?".....Anyone got any ideas? I'm thinking of going along the lines of heroine in a movie or something, someone like Beatrix Kiddo (aka The Bride) in Kill Bill....she's strong, she's formidable, ruthless, knows what she wants and is willing to do anything to get it etc etc...

Just be careful, A huge amount of companies use very intricate interview questions which the then pass on for third party analysis. Some large organisations make the applicant hand write the questionnaire – which they duly pass to hand writing analysis.

So, the questions you have already answered are giving your character traits – so your answer to that particular question will be a slight projection of your own character, if you get the drift, so I can’t help you on that one – bar just be honest, don’t try and be to ‘art-house’ (they have enough ‘art-house’ fcuk wits working for them).

I would, all the same, suggest shying away from:

For Client Services: Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver
For Account Management: Al Pacino in Scarface

Both the the above would be a particularly bad start.

Finally – good luck and very best wishes that you land the job.

I agree with the above poster, though I would always think that some agencies simply want to see that you have an interest outside of work.
