    Please, is this the correct forum for this?

    We are trying to use Skype; not good at the tech stuff.. when we try the test call without the headphones plugged in, we can here her voice but not ours.

    If we plug in, there is a total silence.

    We would be so very grateful if someone expert could explain in easy language how to configure this?

    Some laptops have no built in microphone. Microphone needed for YOUR voice.

    Check sound device RECORDING settings that Mic is enabled not Line in or stereo mix.

    No this is not the right forum.
