Just say I made something with solidworks, is it possible to print off a log with all of the commands, dimensions etc. that I used? So that it would be easy to remake it, by just following though the commands on the log?

    Thanks.

im not sure if you can but there is an ad on called 2d e..... i cant remember what the word is but it opens up a text box like the one on the bottom of an autocad screen.
you could have a look about and see if that works

I don't think SolidWorks has a text log available (could be wrong though), but there might be a utility/command that copies the Feature Manager to another format. SolidWorks builds parts/assemblies from this (and in order) so it should hold the information you need.

    Thanks for the replies.

I've given up on it now anyway, I've just started writing down the commands in the order I do them - it's easier that way!
