Declaring car off road

    Hi

My car has been off the road for about 7 months but its in the UK. I need to get it taxed to drive it home. Its still got Irish plates and insurance. I'm going home next week on my own to get the tax sorted. When I go to the guards to get the form stamped for being off road will it be ok that the car has been privately parked in the UK or does it need to be in Ireland for the declaration to be valid?

    Thanks.
