    Hi folks,

    I tired to buy XP on my macbook by bootcamp,but it didnt work out.So I claimed back the 30GB I set a said for XP.Now when I turn on I still get the msg "Disk Error. Press Any Key to Restart" and have to boot up by holding down the alt/option command button.

    Anyone know how to fix it without having to do a reinstall

    This is probably a very stupid reply .. but do you have a floppy disk in it?

    It's been a long time since a macbook has had a floppy drive in it...

    So you can still boot into Mac OS X if you hold down the option key? Have you tried System Preferences => Startup Disk => select the Mac OS X disk and restart from there? It should remember your setting and boot to Mac OS X without using the option key next time...
