    Hi All

Been asked to shoot some photos for a mate in a Studio next week but I've never used a studio before.

There will be someone there to let us in and as far as I know they will help me set my camera up and the lights, but after that I'm on my own.

Is there much that can go wrong from a technical point of view?

I am pretty good with light/shade but am more concerned about getting settings correct - eg metering etc.

Anyone got basic advice for me??

    Ta.

Not too much that can go wrong, ensure you can either put the sync cable into your camera, or you have a hotshoe sync so you can actually use the lights.

After that, it's a matter of practice, if you wanted, there's a fantastic book that I used when I started into studio work, Link, that'll give you a run down of all the different lighting types, gobo's, and set ups/situations.

Most big book shops in Dublin will have it.

thanks for that. Sorry my response took a while!

will buy that book and hope for the best in the mean time!!

In studio Friday evening for 2 hours - he's looking for an album cover shot so shouldn't be too difficult.......!
