Right now, I'm living off analogue tv. There's one NTL point in the main room, from there we run cables into the two bedrooms (no NTL points in the bedrooms), is this even legal?

Anyway, it kind of sucks, because the reception isn't great in the bedrooms and it's worse when the tv in the main room is on.

So I'm wondering if there are any better options? I see on the UPC website that going digital is cheaper. But how does multiroom work? I know it's normally a case of an added fee per month and free installation, but what about when there's no NTL points in those rooms? Does it get costly?

The UPC website is rather vague when it comes to specifics.

i just got multi room in from upc
its 8 euro per month and an extra 5 if ya want the dvr,
the technician will put extra points in whatever bedrooms ya want but there might be cables runnin along skirtin board or up the wall
i was lucky cos i live in a bungalow so he was able to bring it straight down from the attic

I currently have 1 upc point going to a booster which is then split over 3 tvs, if i was to go to digital will i still get the normal anologue in the other rooms?

Sorry if this has already been answer but just want clarification.

My parents are thinking about going from analogue chous to UPC digital as the prices are basically the same...

If they want to watch different channels in different rooms I assume they would have to get multirrom, yeah? It says on the site it is 8.50 for the multiroom option, but doesn't give any more info. They would need multiroom for 3 rooms (their bedroom, kitchen and sitting room) is it possible to do this? Is it 8.50 per room, or per house?

From reading this thread and others, it appears that for €20 per month they can get Digital lite (currently paying about 24 per month for a crappy analogue service with poor reception) but that the Digital also includes the analogue?? is this right?

Thats crazy - they can get an extra service for less than they are currently paying! (assuming the €20 for digital is not a price to be paid on top of the analogue service)
