My brother-in-law has just moved out into the converted garage next to the homeplace.
He wants to get sky multi-room but has no landline in the 'garage' nor will he be getting one. My understanding is that Sky insist on phone line hooked up to all boxes for multi-room, and that they're quite clear on this and do their checks.

So, what are the options? The only one I can see is for him to get regular sky (or sky+) without multiroom and hook up another box for free to view.

How far do the wireless phone line gadgets go? i had one before in a previous house (might still have it somewhere) and it worked fine, but that was over a ditance of 30 meters.

    Any help/thoughts appreciated.

2 sky boxes in a garage?

or is it one in the main house and one in the garage?

you could run a cable from the main house to the 'garage'

i'm not sure about the wireless phone extender,

He could do that but there is an option that he can sign himself up as a new customer but that would be paying full sub wouldnt be classed as multiroom.

One in the house and two (multi-room) in the garage (not so much a garage as a small house)
