Ok. Basic story is that it is heating fine.

However, when I turn the fan on, I can hear the fan, but hardly any air is coming out of any of the ducts. Not out of the windscreen, dash or area down by the legs.

Any idea what could be wrong ? Demisting the front windows is now impossible.

Does it have a pollen filter? If so, i'd try replacing it.

Depends which service it was but most likely yes!

Does sound like the pollen filter alright. Very easy to change on the focus, im sure you could do it yourself if youre anyway confident with a screwdriver :D

The link is of a US Spec focus so your access panel is under the passenger wiper arm (Assuming its a rhd car). Hope this helps

OP take the pollen filter out and see if there is a marked improvement. If there is, you have your answer. If you remove the pollen filter (and any potential obstruction), and the motor is still struggling to turn, then the problem is either the fan speed control, (when you adjust the fan speed at the dash, do you hear a corresponding change at the motor), or else the motor is on its last legs...

Fan motor is fine I'd say. It def sounds OK anyways.

Will try removing the pollen filter and see if that makes much of a change.

Haha, made that mistake when looking for a pollen filter years ago.
