Ospreys 6 up after 10 mins. Two great Hook penalties from over 40 metres.

Has the makings of a classic. Ospreys really up for it.

Has the making of further evidence of how bad Berdos is seriously iv seen a man taken out in the air and a high tackle and no action. He is beyond crap.

Agree. Ryan Jones (Lions definite 6) won the ball in a ruck and he gave a peno to the Tigers. Unreal

Geordan Murphy looks very good at 15. kicking and chasing has been impressive

Indeed but Leicester are lacking any cutting edge and as Barnes said with J Murphy on the bench they miss a out and out finisher. Dupoy is going to have created something from nothing for Leicester as beside getting a try from the forwards i cant see how else they are going to score they'v had feck all ideas in attack this season.

what are you on about? flood got up from an offside position and cynically kicked away the ball so the ospreys wouldn't have a chance of getting a try. disgraceful, deserved yellow.

ryan jones panics and ruins a great attacking opportunity

Think an Ospreys win denying Leicester a bp would increase Leinsters chances of a home quarter final should they get through so come on Ospreys!

cause munster have a better chance of a home 1/4 final if they win

Hensen just took the ball into touch and Lecister go to take a quick one, I remember after the whole kearney incident last week people said that it wasnt possible to take a quick thrown in if another player took the ball into touch. anyone the rule?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭ironingbored

Ospreys scrum being destroyed. 12-9. 10 mins to go.

Yeah actually. Doubt Leinster have a chance. As things stand they'd go to Cardiff, Harlequins, winner of bath/toulouse, and munster should they win.

I keep saying this for this whole year players opposition have touched a ball thats in touch and the other team have still taken it quickly its against the laws but is largely ignored

and i'd also prefer the magners league team to win than a GP one.

the quick throw is if it touches the crowd or the bal boy or whoever afaik

Leicester diving over the ball there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭juvenal

    Geordan Murphy is Sky's MOTM.

Leicester are holding on to win the pool - death by Munster.

Ospreys should have gone through there, should have kicked just before half time instead of going for the line out and losing the ball.

No favour from the Ospreys. Leinsters only remaining chance of a home quarter final is if Munster lose tomorrow and we get the 5 pointer v Edinburgh.

As a matter of interest, if we were to finish on 20 points and runner up of the group, would Ospreys go through ahead of us? What is it based on to seperate runners up if tied on points? (if it's try count then they would). assuming there's another better runner up of course.

    tries

Ya, it will come down to try count, I think Ospreys have 13 try's, not sure about Leinster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,848 ✭✭✭bleg

leinster's is pretty high they'll go through on 20

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭juvenal

    Leinster have 15 tries.

Tbh it's all moot. If Leinster cannot beat an understrength, albeit bogey, Edinburgh team with a bonus point in the RDS tomorrow, then they don't deserve to be in the quarter-finals.

Wouldn't both go through? Which other teams have 20 points?

Bath or Toulouse could end up on 20 points.

If Toulouse win by less than 7 Bath would end up on 20 points, but will have less tries than Ospreys (17) as to get more than 17 they'd have to score 4+ putting them on 21 points.

If Toulouse lose by less than 6 and get 4+ tries they'll end up on 20 too, with at least 16 tries.

Then again it could also be a draw.

Leinster currently have 15 tries. I reckon Ospreys should go through anyway. Wasps haven't a hope of going through if it's a 3 way tie on 20 points.

If somebody else wants to check that then feel free, I'm just out the door so tried working that out in a rush.

Just looking at the pools now. It's unlikely Toulouse will end up on 20 points. Should Bath end up on 20 they'll still more than likely have less tries than Leinster. Yeah Ospreys are pretty safe I'd say. Then it's between Bath/Toulouse and Leinster if Wasps get a bp win and Leinster don't. Of course none of this will matter if Leinster get the bonus point so here's hoping.

Leicster losing makes munsters task easier, as they now just have to win the match instead of having to get a bonus point.

Totally agree. if you can't put away one of the weaker sides in the competition at home........
