I'm raging because i just missed a lovely A6 on Autotrader in uk just sold this morning knew i should have called when i spotted it on Thurs. Any help greatly appreciated. The A6 preferably and i dont mind if it's Manual or Tip. And all Black too. UK is ok with me aswell.

    Thanks in advance

Ps could someone point out to me the major differences between the A6 allroad and the Normal A6 apart from cosmetic and the raised ride height.

And full time Quattro also, but the ride height is adjustable in 3 different settings too.

LUCKYDAVE, it might be a good idea to remove your phone number from your above post.
It's generally discouraged all over Boards.ie, as you never know who'll end up calling it.

The "A6 Allroad" is the new one, the C5 Gen (2000 to 2005 Afaik) is just called the Audi allroad (lowercase "a" intentional)
A6 vs allroad, actually quite different:

-Allroad is spec'ed inside (Sat Nav, Electric + heated seats etc) more like an S6, with a price to match.
-4 ride heights adjustable from the dash via its Air Suspension. Max height is comparable to proper 4x4s, lowest is lower than S6!
-Uses OEM spec RS4 type wheels (low offset) as it has very wide flared wheel arches
-Uses a different, better, intake manifold than the early S4s and A6 2.7T's
    -Has chrome exhaust tips
-Generally available in two tone colours, with grey plastic arches and diffusers to minimise damage when mucking it about
-Has reinforced metal bar across the front (underneath the big plastic bumper), presumably again to allow driving in fields through wildlife and trees and such.
-Different airbox intake to minimise water being sucked in.

Its said no body panels are shared between the two either, just the chassis.

So flexible and rugged its endorsed by Macgyver:

Looks better than an A6 (which I like too) IMO and fairly rare on the roads here.

I had ours up for sale, but after looking at what I could get as a replacement was hard to part with. Instead got it remapped, new wheels, all the service parts and Hotchkis Sports AntiSway bars. If I could arrange shipping from the UK Id have an RS6 exhaust in it too. Its rather good fun actually.
