the weigh-in :

Mosley 147 lbs exactly on his second attempt (less than 10 minutes later, after a trip to the loo)

Margarito 145.8 lbs . with hat,socks,jocks and gold chain.

Rumours were that Margarito was up over 180lbs one month ago , if true then he's done well and comfortable .
Dont know why he didnt fill the rest of the weight though.

Mosley looks great !! he's in fantastic shape right now.

Unfortunately he got some personal drama's going on in his life over the last few months......
He got rid of his father in his corner , whom he always had differences of opinion with.
He then fell out with Jin , his wife and Manager. A divorce looks on the cards

Mosley is now managing his own affairs , and has Nazim Richardson in his corner (Hopkins trainer)

Mosely is quicker to the punch. Margarito's chin is incredible- you could hit him with a lump hammer flush on the chin and he'd smile back at you straight afterwards.

Sugar Shane Mosley, what can you say, awesome, magnificent, better than ever. absolutely amazing. The best boxing performance I've seen in a long time. 37 years young is what he is and still getting better. How long can the man go on for? The way he finished that fight was simply incredible, out of nowhere, he was well on top, but you didn't expect that finish, it was devastating.

Antonio Margharito is a warrior, how he took so much of that punishment is beyond me.

Well yeah bought highest at 22 , but I try trade out for the green.
Sold at 15 and 15.5 , happy enough .

I just noted earlier in the thread.. that there was a lot of bulk money being heaped on Mosley and his odds were dropping from 4.7 to 3.9 in single swoops .....

it was a sensational performance. i never thought i'd see the day where Margarito would be stopped. i'm not going to see anything as stunning as that result during the rest of 2009

I fancied Mosley but with no way of getting moneys to anybody I could not particpate this year.

HBO is an off-shoot of Time Warner tv productions,
it has no say or authority in boxing ......as far as im aware

It would be comparable to TV3 talking to Michelle de Bruin.

Mosley's an honest fighter , always respectful and dosent go dirty. I'd be very surprised if he requested steroids during his career. His benificeries also had all to gain on a sucessful Mosley career.

Mosley paid for the "clear and creme" on his credit card .... which is not the actions of a man trying to conceal his activities.

This Balco episode is a game of pass the parcel ,.. where one guy trys to spread the blame onto others to get the guilt shifted.

And people dont forget that it is Mosley suing Conte here,..... Mosley has this all highlighted in the papers, many years later.

Stunning performance! His hand speed was too much for Margarito. I think it was the 1st round when he jabbed to the body then to the head in one motion and both landed!! Lightning quick.

Margarito got hit with almost every right hook Mosley threw in the first 4 rounds and then Sugar Shane starts throwing the left hooks. Big shots!

Margarito has some jaw it has to be said. Any other fighter in there would've been down a hell of a lot earlier.

It seems that it took Margarito's camp 3 attempts to wrap his hands to an acceptable standard. There are rumours that some illegal pads were taken from the first wrapping that apparently contained a plasterofparis type substance that was designed to harden within the glove. If this is found to be true Margarito will have a lot to answer for.

Also if its true a lot of people will question the manner of his victory against Cotto.

Great fight though, Mosley was immense. I agree with the poster that said he thought the Hopkins performance against Pavlik was stunning. This is right up there with it.
