Hey I'm doing Commerce and French in first year and the book we have to do is La Place by Annie Ernaux.

    Hope that helps!

    hey
im in final year now, but we did la place aswel, also la princess de cleves, molieres la misanthrope. ther still in the bookshop so i imagine ther prob still doing them!
french is pretty ok in first year, they tend to start at the beginning with most of the grammar so they everyone has the basics so from that point of view its ok. some ppl find the literature side a little bit bizarre but its not too bad!

Exactly a lot of people dont read the novel i am included atm but I bought it and am going to start as soon as this week is out. Test:(. Yes they go over all the LC tenses and what not but WARNING you do it all yourself. It takes one class and you do the work yourself. You really have to keep up to speed or it all builds up.
