Please forgive my ignorance but if I want to be able to use a laptop to pick up the internet on a bus (around Dublin) then do i need 3g? Tjis is assuming the bus doesnt have Wi-Fi.

Can anyone recommend an appropriate laptop at a keen price?

    Thanks

I use a 3G card on a bus however it depends on the route, If the pus passes through a "black spot" you will loose the signal for a bit. Im with 3 Mobile.

The brand / price / type of laptop isn't so important.

Any old laptop (within reason) and a '3G Broadband' dongle which plugs into your USB port will do the trick.

I think all the major mobile networks offer a broadband package at this stage. This is the one from 3Mobile :
