It will be my first time traveling with young kids in a week or so and I was wondering about the buggie,we are only heading of for a day so not checking in any bags.

Will I have to check in the biggie..?I have seen parents wheel the buggie to the steps of the plane and leave it there,I presume it then gets put in with the bags.

    http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=chd&quest=infantequipment
There is no checked/cabin baggage allowance for infants. However, one fully collapsible pushchair per child may be carried free of charge. Additional infant equipment such as car/booster seats and travel cots may be carried in addition to your personal checked baggage allowance. Infant equipment (car/booster seats and travel cots) are charged at separate fee per item/per one way flight

    A word of advice...

We traveled to Paris for a day trip in December with Ryanair. Checked in on line etc.
Dublin airport was grand, straight through security with buggy and no tag on it, nothing said to us, just left it at the bottom of the steps and when we got off the plane in Paris it was there waiting for us at the bottom of the steps.

Coming home was a different story. We got to the airport and there was a large(Ryanair style) queue. By the time we got to the the top of the queue the security lady informed us that the buggy had to be checked in and have a tag on it.

After a row, she helped us get it checked in(by this time the Ryanair Desk was closed) and rushed us to the top of the queue. Again, we just left it at the bottom of the steps and when we got off the plane in Dublin it was there waiting for us?

Stressfull to say the least and makes on-line check in useless for parents of young children.

Saying all that, i dont know what you should do. it may be the luck of the draw with who you get at the security desk?
