No harm (unless they unbox super aids or something) but I just find it odd that people would video themselves opening a box. I find it even odder that someone would enjoy watching someone open a box.

I think it started with pictures. I've seen guys on music forums show pics of them getting new gear. Sometimes they would show a pic of the box to kind of build-up to the unveiling of the mystery new stuff they got. Then they would show pics of whatever it was. This seems to have elevated to vids now.

I never knew about this unboxing thing until recently when I was searching for info on a camcorder I wanted to buy. Came across loads of these unboxing videos.

I've no real issue with them other than the fact that 90% of them seem to be done by idiots who have no f**king clue what they are talking about. I watched about 4 of them before I got pissed off with American college students with too much money saying stuff like "....uhhh, looks like another.... like.... cable.... for like.... connecting and stuff" or "uhhh.... it's another DVD with.... like.... some software or something...." or blowing their load over how small the f**king battery is. "Woah..... awesome.... that's like.... so tiny and stuff.... like omg.... it's like smaller than the old one and stuff....".
