Hey, hopefully someone who knows this tv can help me? Following recommendations here i tried to order a panasonic th37px80 from rs. They don't have them and won't have them until the newer model arrives in a few months. went for px80 because will stick with sd tv for a while yet. is it worth waiting for the new model, does anyone know of differences?

if not, what alternatives? always liked samsung 40" 656, that would be the top of my budget as stereo just gave up so I need to get amp + speakers that's for another forum, i know, but worth considering in choice of tv.

Samsung 40" 686 all the way, have mine on order at the moment, all reviews say it's a brilliant TV

Sony W4500, or W4000 if you're budget can't stretch to the dearer 4500. It's won the top awards in every review going.
The picture is out of this world! I watched the whole of Wall-E the other night on blueray and I couldn't tell you what the film was about, I spent the whole time admiring the picture quality :D

On SD (Sky+), it's also more than acceptably good quality, obviously nowhere near Blueray quality, but very good all the same, once you tweak the settings a bit.
