Good result for Connacht but think that the teams in Celtic League will be somewhat stronger than Dax.

Excellent result, with 7 tries ran in and most of them from really good play. Lads did themselves proud and ran Dax into the ground. Roundabout the 72nd minute, there were 4/5 Dax players on the ground trying to loosen hamstrings and blowing hard:).

Have to agree like I already said that Bradley (and I don't hardly ever agree with him) did the right thing last weekend and targetted the correct game. So much for all those who said last weekend's defeat would screw with their confidence etc

****, wish I could have been there! Away for the week, 5 hours behind Ireland here and just knocked off work so only heard the result now, brilliant! Knew the lads would be up for it, and whoever said last week's result would affect confidence obviously knew what they were talking about... not!
As I said before, last week's match was irrelevant, this one was the one we had to target. Wonder where the 1/4 final will be, may have to plan a trip... :D

Wher did the tries come from backs/forwards. How did Keatley play?

Excellent result Connacht. If I'm not mistaken that's them safely into the quarters.

Just thinking the same thing:):). Think we're defo away and proberly England??
There were some great tries, 2 from Ta'auso (who could shape up really well, particularly if he gets it together with Troy Nathan in the centre too), Gavin Duffy (who had a great game) and a try each from Fionn Carr, Liam Bibo and Sean Cronin (I think). Just hope we get a decent draw now. Keatley had a good game, missed a couple of conversions but thought he was passed really **** ball from Frank Murphy but good thing was that his replacement Kieran Campbell looked very promising and feed much quicker ball.

i was at the match and to me keatley and a poor kicking game yesterday, he had a few kicks out in the full last night, on the other side his got the backline moving doing very good moves, i also thaught brett wilkonson was very good in scrum and carrying ball, sean croinin is the future hooker should stay at connacht for a few years tho no point going to a team collecting splinters,

connacht will prob have to go to the saints, which is a winnable game if,

Word at the game was that it would be away to Northampton - at least we have a good record there (one win from one game :D)

It was in its hole. You Galway boys are being far too blinkered here that was Dax's second team!! Their first team is no great shakes either. This game was always a banker 5 pointer, would much rather they had given LI a game last week.

So now they have the away quarter that they were always gong to get. Northampton will mangle them at the gardens.

I just dont agree with conceeding a game before the KO , if they gotten a single bonus point against LI they'd be away to Worcester a team with no where near as good a home record as Northampton.

Sm.org: I don't think that a bonus point against LI away was very realistic. They would have had not too much support (I know a few lads did head over but not very many). I would agree with the targeting of this game. What I was disappointed with was the degree of targeting. The team should have been stronger and been defensively better.

As for the game...it was great.
Duffy was the star for me. A real classy performance from him and you could see the energy in the backs.
Keatleys game was very off. It has been getting a little worse since the Leinster game. The fact that it was robbed not withstanding, Keatley probably feels guilty about the 2 relatively easy kicks that he missed that night, plus the exact same thing happened against Llannelli Scarlets. Hope he gets his confidence back because we really do need him.

The most impressive thing about the night was the confidence in the back line! They were really positive, carrying ball into the opposition and supporting each other. No one was shipping the ball on, everyone was looking to take on their man. It is the only way to create space and it worked.
Let's hope they can keep it up! :)
