You might get stung for VAT though. The limit is $30 the last I checked. So that could be an extra €20 plus any admin fee by courier. AnPost charge a fiver.

Or you could get lucky :)

I don't like warning about warranty I thought most refurbished came with some warranty at least 3 months.

I wonder if they are original Nintendo's or a fake, DX do normaly include on the name or description if they are Original.

I really doubt they are fakes

It would cost far too much to make a fake DS console, that has wifi, plays DS games etc

    Well it says
Original Nintendo software features including multi-lingual interface

And if they were dead on arrival dealextreme should do RMA

The counterfeit consoles are said to have been purchased from questionable Asian Web sites for a mere £40.

Looks like the guts of the machine is original, with replacement cases or perhaps more. Third-party refurbished and impossible to know what QC is like.

I would not like to have to RMA to HK.

Cheap and all as DX are they are a bunch of chancers. If you are ever unlucky enough to have problems with anything bought from them you could face months of hassle.

Even if the NDS Lites are genuine you will have no comeback.

You are almost guaranteed to be done for VAT, duty & admin which will bring the price up by 25% at least. Couriers have their own customs desk in every depot.

Personally I would buy from somewhere reputable like gamesnash.com who have all the limited edition colours in stock. I picked up a crimson/black one pre Xmas for €120

    I disagree.
I've placed almost 100 orders without any hassle like you have outlined with DX.

I've RMA'd three items and did not have to post them back to HK, just emailed photos and they shipped replacements.

Their customer service is surprisingly prompt in getting back to you.

I've never had to pay any customs charges.

with this though you are upgraded to EMS and apperently you are more likely to get done with it.

I've had many an order with DX.

I have been done for customs once, ordered a solder station, its pretty big and heavy so understandably they had a looksy, luckily the order wasnt huge (€70 worth or so, I've had way bigger orders in the past!)

When I was in the north in December, the RRP in the UK was 97.50 sterling.
So in your shoes, I'd be looking into getting someone to pick me up one there instead of a refurb and a possible customs charge.

DX are ace for small, cheap things. I'd be wary of buying bigger things though. Customs have opened some of the larger packets I've received, luckily the price is usually under the duty threshold :)
