Recording a demo...

    Hello :)

    Im about to record a demo in Dublin of about 3-5 songs...they are acoustic/alternative style
    Im a singer/guitarist just wondering could anyone recommend a studio they thought was good,im looking around at the mo..
    Also general advice on recording a demo would be appreciated!

    Put a post in the music production board.. Lots of folks there who can give terrific advice and some folks who can probably quote you a very decent price for what you need.

    Know your song. Know what you want to achieve. Know the sound you want. Listen to previous recordings the engineer has done and learn his style. Talk to people who have recorded previously with him/her.

    Don't put yourself totally in the hands of the engineer who really isn't as bothered as you might think. Enjoy the experience and remember us when you become a star !

    Oh . . . do a cash deal for the studio time, mixing, copies etc
