my sister has been asked by social services to take her stepgrand children for the odd night every second week or so to give their mother a break. now she has no problem with this and has taken the kiddies on lots of occasions, but has been used and abused by her stepdaughter. ie not returning for the kids when she was supposed. my sister lives on her own and has to work to live, so on these nights she has the children she will have to miss work. does anyone know can she claim anything, she wont have them for the whole week , just one night per week.
