Having not found out yet where around my apartment/apartment block I might store a bike, I am putting tri plans on hold - but heard recently of aquathons (run & swims).
Anyone have any experience of these? Know where I might find details of upcoming ones? Any specialist gear I may need (as in something like a tri-suit)? Generally, any and all info on them would be appreciated thanks! :)

whoo7, I know 3dtri (Nessa Smyth) used to organised a series of 3 aquathons starting from the bullwall and running along the beach. They should be on the TI calendar.

Is there somewhere in work you could leave a bike. I've done that before when in the process of moving house.

Wicklow Tri club and Amphibian King do a series of 3 aquathons starting in June. (details on the triathlonireland.com calendar). You'll need a wetsuit to compete in one. A trisuit wouldn't be a necessity unless you're really worried about losing a few seconds putting on a running top when you get out of the water. You could wear your running shorts under the wetsuit. Make sure to use vaseline or bodyglide or similar though as wet shorts really chaff!

That's a really good point. It's easy to foget how much you "dry out" with the bike bit in the middle. In an aquathon, you go straight from the water to chafe-central aka the run.
