I was doing a clean up of the computer with "Remove programmes" and by mistake I deleted the DVD decoder on the laptop resulting in my unable to play DVD's

For some reason I dont have a CD for same software.

    What should I do?

    Thanks

Try VLC. It's free and will play most media types including DVDs.

    (Not HD-DVDs though :()

Another vote for VLC. Perhaps a system restore could get the other decoder back.

If you're still having trouble, download the K-Lite codec pack, or the CCCP codec pack. Both of them will let you play DVDs with media players such as WMP.

    Thanks for you help.

The VLC will have to do.
