Speaking to a friend lately, tells me his son has lost his job. registers to collect the dole. he gets a letter a couple of weeks later to sign on and is given a date 3 months later to sign again.
Does anyone know if this is normal?
If it is, it has serious consequences!

yes in the current times this is normal...some local offices just dont have the staff or the physical space to be having everyone sign on once a month.
