Single pc on network can't connect to internet

I'm over at my mates gaff trying to figure out why his pc can't connect to the internet but can to the local network. My laptop has no problems connecting to the internet both via wireless and ethernet. I check his TCP/IP settings and it is all set to automatic and afaik that's the way it should be. I typed ipconfig /all into cmd.exe and it came back with DHCP enabled, Autoconfguration enabled, dns/dhcp/default gateway 192.168.1.254 (the router is a Netopia 3347NWG from eircom) subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and a an ip address. I tried pinging www.google.com and got back 'Ping request could not find host'.

I don't know where to go from here any help would be appreciated.

Easiest way to attempt to sort this is to post the IPCONFIG /ALL (run from command prompt) from both of the PCs.

I'm at my house now (we're next door neighbours) and i'm having trouble connecting to some websites including any google website (google.com, google.ie, gmail.com etc). And i'm using a separate internet connection, I wonder if the problems are related.

I left my laptop in trippies house and it's not connecting to any websites now but I can chat to him on msn fine.

I had the exact same problem. Ran diagnostics on the router, it said to restart the router.
Did it twice. All ok now.

We both changed our routers primary dns to 159.134.237.6 and internet is working fine now.
