I'd be looking for 10-11k off you, without seeing your yoke.

Have you seen this GTI, massive spec.

Pity, such a high spec on that car.

the one in the ad is pretty basic. Look around and you'll def find a better specced car. Just an idea and i'm biased but would you consider a leon? There's loads of 08 FR's with dsg boxes for less than that. Same engine but much higher spec

Pay €10K to get 60bhp more, I think you would be mad OP.

A remap of your existing 1.4 TSi would be a wiser less expensive option imo. I'm thinking a remap from 140bhp to 170/180bhp is easily achievable with the TSi engine.

    Exactly, its beyond crazy.

If you want power get an Evo X or something, 10k for the same car but 30bhp more and still front wheel drive is a bit mad lol.

I reckon 10k to change up is wildly optimistic at best!! I'd say aim for 15k.

I was offered 19k for my 07 GTI on a trade in yesterday. I'll be holding onto it another while me thinks :pac:

Omega man and Joe, both seem reasonable trade in prices!

Yeah, I wasn't shocked and I'm under no illusion that my car is worth a hell of a lot more. I did think 22-23k would have been closer to a fairer valuation though.
What I've found is that dealers have reasonably attractively priced cars in their showrooms (this was a 08 320d M-Sport Coupe for under 40k), but they are giving miserable trade-in values to compensate. Great for the buyer buying straight, not so good for those with a trade-in.

Bang on, great for people buying straight. As i say when your trading, it's the cost to change your after, nothing more.
